The HS has gotten off to a great start. The HS Team has been working together to provide an environment of support and encouragement that is creating a positive community at CCS. As always, if you have any questions or concerns about a class, please contact your student's teachers.
To keep up with the latest happenings and news at CCS, be sure to read the weekly Cougar Update which is emailed to you every Friday.
Volunteer Opportunities
October brings many opportunities for families to volunteer though serving at CCS' Chicken Barbecue on October 15 and Country Auction on October 16. There are still many areas where volunteers are needed. Just go to https://www.conestogachristian.net/auction-2021 to sign up to volunteer. It is fast and easy.
For more information on the Auction, check out the September 17, 2021 issue of the Cougar Update found here.
How Are My Volunteer Hours Recorded?
The CCS Volunteer Coordinator, Lauren Odorisio, has set up an email for CCS parents to report their volunteer hours. When you have completed any amount of volunteering, please email Mrs. Odorisio at: CCSVolunteerHours@gmail.com
The Next Jordan Spieth?
PSAT and Powder Puff
On the morning of October 13, the 11th grade class will be traveling to Brick Lane Community Church in Elverson to take the PSAT. If you have an 11th grade student, please remind them to get a good night's sleep and to eat breakfast.
Later that day, after lunch, CCS will have its annual Powder Puff flag football competition with the girls from each high school grade competing to take on a team of the women teachers from CCS. The whole school will be out on the hill by the soccer field to watch the teachers defend their title against the winner of the student tournament. Elementary and middle school students will only watch the final game between the teachers and winning student team.
Appearance Code Reminders
With the end of the month of October comes a change in the dress code. Starting November 1st through April 1st, students are not to wear shorts unless the forecast for Morgantown on any day is 60 degrees or above.
Shorts should have an inseam that is at least 5 inches long. If a girl wears a dress or skirt to school the length should be no shorter that two inches above the knee. For more information on where to find shorts with five inch inseams, see our latest issue of the Cougar Update that was emailed to you last week.
On any clothing worn at CCS with logos and wording (cartoons, images, slogans, music groups (Any secular group), etc.) that go against the school’s philosophy are not permitted. References to alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, weaponry, violence, or illegal activity are unacceptable.
